Jody's top five tips for preventing dryness

Not long left now until the end of winter. By now our skins are feeling the effects of low temperatures, frost and wind. The skin will be dull, dry and dehydrated.


  • Water; drink lot's boring I know but keep hydrated your skin will thank you.

Try green tea, peppermint tea or fruit teas for those really cold days.


  • Heating; The dry air will literally suck your skin DRY. Try a humidifier or a bowl of water in the room to keep the air moist.


  • Scrub; Use a scrub regularly to keep the skin cells fresh and renewed. Try an AHA (alpha hydroxyl acid) scrub which will dissolve skin cells to brighten rather than a grainy scrub which can be more irritating in the colder months.


  • Serum; Use a hydrating serum such as hyaluronic acid morning and night under moisturizer to prevent tight and flaky skin


  • Facials; Have a monthly facial tailored made for you to keep your skin great all year round prevention is always better than cure.
